Brian Coester
Brian C. Coester was introduced to the appraisal industry at a very young age. He has studied the industry in depth including the secondary market level. He has taken Coester Appraisal Group from a local residential appraisal firm completing appraisals in the Washington D.C. metro area to a highly respected national firm with well known clients throughout the country. He is a former college football player who studied at the University of Tennessee as well as the University of Maryland College Park where he majored in business administration. He is currently a practicing martial arts enthusiast.

Vice President: John M. Coester:  
John M. Coester was also introduced to the appraisal industry at a very young age. He brings to Coester Appraisal Group a dynamic and charismatic personality. He is the National Account Executive for several national lenders. He is responsible for client relations and business to business processes. He has experience in client relations, account management, work flow management and appraisal compliance. John is also a practicing martial arts enthusiast.
 
Vice President of Operations: Crystal Witherspoon  
Crystals D. Witherspoon graduated from the University Of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Criminal Justice. She was the Administrative Director for Clearly, Gotlieb, Stein and Hamilton Law Firm. She is responsible for vendor relations, training administrative team members, and is also team leader for several accounts.
 
Chief Operations Officer: Frank A. Novak  
Frank A. Novak comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has over 16 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. He began his career at World Savings where he spent three years as a top loan originator for the bank in the Maryland area. He continued his career as a loan originator for several lenders and brokers in the Prime and Sub Prime arena. For the past 8 years, Frank was the Operations Manager for a very successful mortgage banker in the D.C. area where he supervised work flow processes and compliance issues. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters Degree in Marketing and has an Undergraduate Degree in Business Management from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.
 
National Sales Director: Brian King  
 
Brian King has sixteen years retail and wholesale mortgage banking experience concentrated in the Capital Markets. He has extensive knowledge in Prime, Alt-A and Sub Prime product sales, design, implementation, performance, profitability and liquidity analysis. He has over twelve years specializing in risk management and product development. Brian was the Vice President of Correspondent Lending for Emax Financial Group. His primary role was to develop the conduit platform to purchase non-prime assets from originators nationwide. Brian also worked as Manager of Credit Analysis for Luminent Mortgage Capital. He was responsible for credit decisions surrounding new investments for the REIT as well as surveillance on Luminent's credit sensitive bond portfolio. From 1991-2006, Mr. King was employed with PHH Mortgage where he held various management positions in trading and product development. He was responsible for trading, deal management, daily pricing, loan sales and pipeline management for well over 65 "Specialty" products including Alt-A, Sub Prime, Agency and Bond/Community Lending. Brian's understanding of the whole transaction will ensure that our client’s expectations are always exceeded. 
 
  Chief Review Appraiser: Timothy D. Coester  
 
Timothy D. Coester has been an appraiser since 1972. He has worked for notables such as Thomas J. Owens, Donald Boucher, David Lenhoff as well as, Kidwell and Sons. He has served on the Maryland Appraisal Board from 1990 – 1992. He has held several chief review appraisal positions at national banks and earned several designations from national orginzations.
 
  Appraisal Standards and Compliance: Herbert Johnson  
 
Herbert M. Johnson graduated magna cum lade from Strayer University where he received a degree in Business Management. He attended the Maryland Association of Appraisers where he received his training to perform appraisals. Herbert was a past director at The Washington Hospital Center. Herbert has also worked as a property manager for Lincoln Property where he managed commercial buildings, budgeting, financial and other products. Herbert currently oversees appraisal standards and compliance. His main role is to ensure Coester Appraisal Group remains in compliance with all the appraisal standards and government regulations.
 
  Advisory Board:  
  Andrew S. Jaymes:  
 
Andrew S. Jaymes is Principal of Jaymes Financial Inc. He is a highly experienced investment banker. He has hands-on experience in all areas of secondary marketing since 1970. His greatest strengths are in the areas of institutional debt sales and capital markets. As a past principal of several mortgage banking companies and head trader of a nationally known security mortgage trading operation, he has the experience, banking relationships and knowledge to access any type of market conditions.
