Coester Appraisal Group was founded in 1970 by Timothy D. Coester, SRA, RM. Before naming the firm Coester Appraisal Group it was Timothy D. Coester and associates. Mr. Coester was trained and mentored by industry legends David Lenhoff former President of the Appraisal Institute, and Donald Boucher current Treasurer of the Appraisal Institute. The firm focused on residential and commercial appraisals for developers, investors and banks. Timothy Coester is one of the most highly respected real estate appraisers in the Washington D.C. area and has a reputation for training quality appraisers, many which have had great success with their own companys and careers.

Over the years, the firm has grown. Currently, we are striving to become the best national service company in the United States. We are going to do to appraisals what Google did for search engines. We currently handle nationwide valuations for many banks, lenders, hedge funds, auditing firms, accounting firms and traders. We are progress focused and are constantly looking for ways to provide better services to our clients and customers. Our goal is to become your valuation source for life and will continue to strive for better ways of serving you.
